Okay, so I was recently nominated for an award. The first thing to pop in my head was, “OMG I have to buy a dress, shoes, get my hair done, get my nails done, and write a speech!!!! I don’t have time or money for all this!!! Perhaps I should just send someone to accept it on my behalf.” Then I had to climb sheepishly down from the cloud I found myself upon, since I was completely ‘out of my mind’!!! Reality check!!! It wasn’t an Oscar (I’m not an actor), it wasn’t a Grammy (I’m not a singer), it was, however, a Liebster (ahh yes, that seems more appropriate, wait what’s a Liebster?)
The Liebster Award, for those not aware (I hadn’t heard of it before so had to look it up), is basically an award given by bloggers to other bloggers. The rules seemed to have changed or morphed over time and this site explains in detail what it’s all about. However, since the rules given in my nomination differ slightly, I will use those to not stray from the task at hand.
The rules are:
- Thank the one who nominated you:
- Display the Liebster award logo of choice:
- Answer the eleven questions posed to you by your nominator:
- Nominate eleven (11) fellow bloggers and
- Ask them eleven questions to keep the love going:
Okay, got it! Here goes…
Thank the one who nominated you:
Dear Marisa (mrsmariposa2014 at mrsmariposa2014.wordpress.com),
Thank you so much for thinking of me for this award. I am humbled that you always take the time to read my work and for always being my cheerleader in good times and bad. Many, many, many thanks for your love and support. You rock!
Display the Liebster award logo of choice:
Answer the eleven (11) questions posed to you by your nominator:
Q #1: What was your turning point that brought you to Christ?
Q #2: What is your favorite hymn or praise song?
Q #3: What do you love most about writing?
Q #4: What are you most passionate about in life?
Q #5: Who is your favorite author?
Q #6: What is your favorite guilty pleasure snack?
Q #7: Who would you most enjoy meeting and having a deep conversation with?
Q #8: What accomplishment in your life has been most impactful?
Q #9: What scripture has helped you most in your life?
Q #10: What does mercy and grace look like to you?
Q #11: How does it feel to receive this honor to you?
Okay, my first two tasks are complete. In the second installment of this post I will answer the questions above which were posed to me by my nominator.
I’ve chosen to break this assignment into installments
because I’m just too darn long-winded to make it fit onto one post because keeping it as one post would make it a really, really long read and I’m aware not everyone has large chunks of time to devote to one post when the queue is chuck full of many others to read. I hope I’ve not broken any rules by doing it this way.
