Parting is such sweet sorrow

image

Today, I placed many of my treasured possessions, into the hands of others. They served me well. They gave much joy. I loved them dearly. I was reluctant to part with them, but delicately placed them into the hands of others in hopes their new owners would love them as much as I did.

Letting go lightened my financial burden but warmed my heart knowing that someone might also be enriched by my gifts.

Recycle the treasures, share the love.
Letting your love flow freely allows it to float into the arms of someone who may truly appreciate it. In so doing, you too will be richly blessed.

My darling,
I must let go of you now,
For I must toil for our daily bread,
But I will return to you in the morrow,
For it is you to whom my heart belongs.

My friends,
I must say goodbye this season,
For I must resume my duties after good tidings,
But I will cherish our festivities,
For tis you I choose to be my brethering.

My precious treasure,
I must let go of you now,
Though you have given me much joy,
So you may give pleasure to another,
For in giving shall I also receive.

My happiness,
I must part with you for this period,
As my heart is full of grief,
But I will see you on the other side,
For tears bring cleansing and clarity.

My sadness,
I must bid you adieu,
As I exchange you for laughter,
But fear not I will visit again
For true joy comes from understanding pain.

To return,
One must first depart,
So as you read these words
Don’t be sad that this poem ends
For it only signifies there is a new one to begin
And we shall all meet again.

Farewell my darlings, I love you all.

Hugs,
A
😔🌷☺

  1. So appropriate in my life right now. My boyfriend just left for work for a few months. It’s good money and i know the distance will be good for us to both get our footing emotionally and mentally, even physically. and financially !

  2. It’s hard to let go but it’s also nice to know it’s going to a good home. I never sell my stuff I just post it as free to a good home. Someone who truly appreciates it enough to give it a good home.
